Writer. Editor. Total goof ball.

I am an organized, efficient, and passionate writer dedicated to serving accurate, illuminating info for the reader. I’ll never miss a deadline, and I’ll adopt your brand’s house style with ease. But if you think I won’t find a way to laugh through the process, whether we’re collaborating on content about traveling to national parks or fine-tuning a dense, 20-page economic analysis of your latest product, you’re in for a treat.

Professionally, I’m happiest with my fingers at the keyboard. For a decade-plus, I’ve been dedicated to crafting quality content, helping others transform their own stories, and coaching and mentoring writers, editors, and designers to deliver strong content of their own.

As an avid reader, I started my professional career stocking shelves at a local bookstore (where else?). I took a weird detour slinging frozen yogurt through college, but it wasn’t long until I found my place in the world of content creation. For five years, I worked as a content writer, then editor, then managing editor, for a digital marketing agency. There, I got my first taste of SEO. The thrill of creating content that serves the reader but also the SERP — it’s a delicate, challenging balancing act that I love to perform. In this role, I wrote, edited, and published blogs, press releases, website content, landing pages, social media posts, newsletters, and even news articles for a digital automotive magazine.

I spent the next four-year chapter of my career managing content production for Forrester Research’s consulting arm. In this role, I oversaw the editing, design, and layout of thought leadership whitepapers and economic analyses for B2B tech clients like Google and Amazon. Each day was a new challenge, learning about a brand’s latest and greatest SaaS solution and helping them tell their story — all backed by objective research and the sleekest data visualizations in the biz.

Because I’m a firm believer that print is not dead, I have now spent several years as the editorial director (formerly managing editor) of WDW Magazine, a print magazine dedicated to Walt Disney World.

Throughout this journey, I was chipping away at a freelance career. I have ghostwritten thousands of blogs and product pages for car dealerships across the country, I’ve written personal finance pieces for sites like USA Today, LendingTree, and The Penny Hoarder, and I’ve lent my editing talents to print publications in the travel space.

Now, I’ve stepped into freelancing full-time. And I’m excited to work with you next.

Why I Do It

A love of content is essential in my career, and while I do thoroughly enjoy sharing financial advice, telling fun stories of places near and far, and helping brands better activate their marketing plans, the real reason I work tirelessly, day in and day out, is the three handsome fellas sitting with me in the photo: my patient, sarcastic, artistic husband, Trent, and our two spoiled mutts, Goomba and Blooper.
